Reverted ~ Private Meetings

As of 27 July 2016, Private Meetings (Assistant’s Position 3) — Contemporary BWWM Erotica — is no longer available for purchase through Razor’s Edge, a Changeling Press imprint. The rights have reverted back to the author (me).

My plan is to re-release this title, along with the rest of the Assistant’s Position Series, after tweaks and additions under my Erotica pen name, Derenzi Balach.

Excerpt

Christine started to speak, and then frowned. “Oh. I thought I recognized you. You’re the new assistant.”

“Well, not so new, Mrs. Night. I’ve been here almost a year now.”

Christine smirked with a soft snort. “Yeah, I’m betting your snatch is the farthest thing from new by now. Probably all loose and flapping from being well used.”

Rachel tried not to take offense. Christine was upset and lashing out. Rachel kept her smile in place as she held her hand out in the direction of Matt’s office. “Mrs. Night, why don’t you wait in Mr. Night’s office while I go and see if the meeting has ended?”

“Fine. Hurry up.” Christine stomped to Matt’s office and slammed the door behind her.

Rachel sighed.

Behind her, Anthony said, “Wife-zilla, much?”

“It’s not totally her fault. Matt has been pulling crazy hours these last few months. I try to get him out of here on time, but you know Matt. The man is a borderline workaholic and only borderline because his wife keeps dragging him away.” Rachel faced the boardroom and squared her shoulders. “Wish me luck. I’m going in.”

Anthony smacked her ass.

Play like that usually got her hot and bothered, but Rachel remained annoyed at Christine’s comment. Sure, the executives had been making good use of all of Rachel’s skills since she was hired, but her pussy was still tight. The executives said so.

She pushed the thought aside as she made her way to the boardroom. She knocked on the door before poking her head in. “Excuse the interruption, sirs. I have an urgent message for Mr. Night.”

Mr. Tedson beckoned her into the room. “Come. Hurry up.”

“Yes, sir. Sorry, sir.” She jogged over to Matt’s side and bent so she could whisper in his ear. “Your wife is here and she’s pissed.”

Matt looked down at his watch. “Fuck. I forgot about dinner.”

Rachel stiffened. “Dinner, sir? Was it written in your calendar? I’m sorry I didn’t remind you.”

“No, no. Not your fault. I made plans with Christine yesterday, and they totally slipped my mind with this whole Collins thing. Shit.” Matt heaved a sigh. “Stall her for me. This meeting is almost over.”

“Yes, sir.” Rachel excused herself to the others as she left the room.

Poor Matt. Even if he had remembered dinner, this meeting was an important one. A few of the other executives had had to cancel their evening plans to attend it. Christine wouldn’t have been happy with a cancellation, but a phone call saying Matt would be delayed might have saved Rachel some verbal abuse. She would mention that to him once they were alone. For now, she had to deal with his wife.

She entered Matt’s office, her smile already in place. “Mrs. Night, I’m sorry but Mr. Night can’t get out of the meeting just yet. He is sorry for not calling about the delay. Mr. Tedson called this meeting at the last minute.”

Christine stood with her arms crossed over her chest and one hip leaning against Matt’s desk. “I’m sure. Probably to discuss which assistant they’ll run a train on next.”

Rachel held back her immediate reply. Christine had a very low opinion of the executive floor, it seemed. She asked instead, “Would you like any refreshments while you wait? Coffee, tea, soda, juice, water?”

“I’m fine.” Christine’s gaze roamed over Rachel with an expression of annoyance marring her features. “I can see why Matt prefers being at work. You’re a cute one.”

“Thank you, Mrs. Night.”

“His last assistant was pretty too. A little too mousy though. That’s probably why she quit. Matt says you’re different. He always has good things to say about you.”

“I’m pleased to know he is satisfied with my work.”

“You satisfying him is the reason he never comes home.”

“Mrs. Night, I have never had sex with your husband. Mr. Night uses a toy when he decides to utilize that part of my duties.”

“And his mouth, I bet. He does love to eat out.” She snorted. “Just not me.”
