Review:
JOSS WHEDON ROCKS!!
The man has yet to put his name on something I didn’t like. I’ll probably weep the day he does. But today was not that day. I love this man. When the powers-that-be brought him on to this project, I should have known it wouldn’t be anything but GOLD.
You can definitely tell the difference in writing and direction when you use people who read/write the comics. I heard when Whedon came on this project, he tossed the script and started over. Thank God. I don’t I want to know what they originally had planned. Marvel should take the hint and use more of their in-house comic writers for the future movies because everything would turn out much better. If you go see this movie and don’t like it, you should probably consider giving up on all comic book-based movies from now on. Marvel had us anticipating this movie for the last five years at least and it was WELL WORTH the wait.
The plot was solid. The acting was spectacular and the action… ‘blown away’ doesn’t even cover it. The perfect mixture of drama, action, and a hint of comedy. I say a hint of comedy, but when they went for funny it was HILARIOUS. There was one scene that had me laughing so hard I almost fell out of my seat. If I had needed to go to the restroom, I’m sure I would have peed my pants. The whole theater lost it.
This movie didn’t have one star and one focus. Every member of the Avengers team had a moment to shine and shine brightly. This movie started off the summer correct. I see now why no one wanted to go up against this powerhouse. Marvel would have buried any and all competition.
I want to see this movie again and again and again. I’m sure I’ll wear out the DVD when it hits stores and I get my copy.
Notes:
– There is a moment of subtitles.
– There is a tidbit after the splash credits. For those who know the comics, you’ll enjoy this scene. For those who don’t know the comics, it’s still interesting but you won’t understand until Avengers 2 comes out.
Parents, if you’ve been letting your kids watch the other Marvel movies, then there is no reason not to let them see this one.
Your review makes me want to see the movie! I'm a Robert Downey Jr. fan and look forward to seeing him in this film.

I can't wait to see this!
I totally agree! I can't wait to watch it again:)
Loved the review and thanks for letting us know that Joss Whedon wrote it. His dialogue is as close to perfect as it gets.
Yeah Hulk! He and Iron Man stole the show in my opinion .. I'm planning on seeing this again once the crowds die down
