ROOFTOP SCRAMBLE
Kubo and Ise have been friends since childhood. One day, Kubo suggests he and Ise be boyfriends. They brag about the change to all their classmates but everyone agrees that nothing about Kubo and Ise’s relationship has changed. They hang out every possible moment and chat on the phone when they are apart. Kubo doesn’t know what else there is to do, but Ise is willing to teach him.

Review:
Fujisaki-sensei is on my list of favorite manga artists. Her heroes are cocky and self-assured, but also tortured. The emotions presented in these stories are real. The characters drag you in quickly and make you feel for them.

You can feel the love the characters have for each other and their pain hurts you too. Both stories presented in this manga seem like they could be happening right now.

Kubo and Ise’s story was a light-hearted addition to this manga, which helped lift the spirits after the heavy story presented with Rikuto and Takumi. I love how naive Ise is about everything. He gets extra points for effort though. Ise gets even more points for patience. He’s a great friend and an even better boyfriend.

Not a light read. If you want a story with deep emotion in a short span of time, this is the one to read.
